WHAT IS A DRIVER QUALIFICATION FILE?
Under federal law 49 CFR Part 391.51, all employers who employ commercial drivers must retain verification on file of their drivers’ legal and physical ability to operate the vehicle in their class.
This involves pulling a driving history, a previous employment history, a 3 year inquiry to state agencies, a driver’s road test inspection and corresponding certificate of completion, annual driver’s certificate of violations, as well as other pertinent documents relating to the specific driver’s public record. These files need to be updated yearly.
OUR SAFETY REPORTING SYSTEM
Our qualification system goes above and beyond just qualifying your drivers. We have developed a proprietary package, called the Safety Reporting System.
This system not only ensures your drivers are qualified to operate, but that your vehicles are as well. Ensure that your staff and fleet are always up to the task with our Safety Reporting System.
On top of a Driver Qualification File, our SRS package includes an annual vehicle inspection report and sticker, daily driver vehicle inspection reports, motor vehicle reports on all drivers, a welcome packet that provides more explanations about laws and regulations, as well as a safety audit example letter, a pre-employment screening, and a PSP (driver history) record.
FREE USDOT NUMBER
Let our team of experts walk you through the USDOT application process. We can get you a USDOT number same day, and provide you with a thorough review to ensure that you are in compliance with all FMCSA and USDOT regulations. Call today to get your USDOT number.
